Upcycling for the guest bedrooms

I have had so much fun finding furniture for the bedrooms.

Small pine side tables and chests of drawers are easily sanded down to expose the beauty of the wood – WHY do manufacturers plaster pine furniture with ugly coloured varnish?!!

Blue Bedroom

This wardrobe was unprepossessing when I brought it home however it has rubbed up beautifully after being sanded and oiled with Osmo oil (love this stuff). A decorative handle adds colour.

I chose a blue theme with touches of orange to highlight and blend with a dancer print.

Molly Williams

Ebay found me some lovely deep blue, pleated fabric to sing along with the burnt orange that I was given by Ludlow Curtain Company on Angel Street.

This pretty wicker chair from Facebook market needed some TLC and a fitted cushion.

The Rosy bedroom

I have chosen a simple Old Rose theme for this room – scatter cushions in vintage prints and a green and pink colours.
The wardrobe, table, chair and bed frame are up-cycled oak and pine – rather tired furniture stripped back and oiled. All found on Facebook market – just love that place!!
